Angkor Thom
大吳哥城
Just a few kilometers north of Angkor Wat, lies Angkor Thom, the walled city of Angkor. There are several palaces and temples inside its wall. In the center of Angkor Thom is the Temple of Bayon. Bayon is the second most popular tourist site among all the Angkor temples, only after Angkor Wat. Though it is in rubbles, we can still see a lot of the famous "four-faced" statues smiling at the visitors. There are also many interesting bas-reliefs on the wall of Bayon Temple, but I leave them in a separate page.
