Leaving the Anglo Estancia, we returned to the city of Cordoba for some grocery shopping. Then, we continued on our very long drive further north, into the subtropical region of Argentina's northeast.

Driving more than 1,000 kilometers, we entered Misiones Province. It is one small province sandwiched between Brazil and Paraguay. With red soil and more humid weather, even the vegetation looks different from those in other parts of Argentina.

We stayed for a night in San Ignacio, to see the 17th century Jesuit mssion ruin (which was featured in the 1986 movie: "Mission"). It is a nice historic site with nostalgic atmosphere. Unfortunately, my digital camera ran out of battery when I reached the mission, so no picture was taken from the site. Well, I did find other people's pictures as substitutes.

After San Ignacio Mission, we headed to our final destination in Argentina, to see one of the most magnificent natural wonders of the world: The Iguazu Falls.

Cathedral of Cordoba at the Plaza San Martin. Cordoba is the 2nd largest city in Argentina.

Clock tower of Cordoba Cathedral. It reminded me of some church tower in Prague.

A small public square in Cordoba.

The Mission of San Ignacio de Mini. It is another of Argentina's numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites. I did not take these pictures, but the weather condition was exactly the same the day I visited as in the pictures (very wet)

A typical road in Misiones Province, Northeast Argentina.

I was so glad that we were almost there...to the Iguazu Falls.
