Castella

Created June, 1999

Castella, the region surrounding Madrid, including Castella y Leon and Castella la Macha, is the origin of Spanish Empire. I wonder around several nice towns in this whole area....
Wen-Hung outside of the walled city of Avila
  • Avila, the best preserved walled city in Spain
The street of Avila
  • Inside the wall, the street of Avila. It was the siesta time(nap), so the street was so quiet.
Casa La Concha
  • The famous "House of Shells" (Casa de Concha) in the University of Salamanca
Salamanca Cathedral
  • A nice view of the Cathedral of Salamanca from the other side of the river
Armstrong at Salamanca Cathedral
  • They carved Neil Armstrong above the entrance of Salamanca Cathedral. He is still in his space suit, isn't it cute?
Paranama of Teledo
  • A paranamic view of Toledo. No, this is not that one in Ohio...
View of Toledo
  • Another, closer, view of Toledo. The big building in front the cathedral (the one with spikes) is Alcarza.
Wen-Hung in front of Spanish windmills
  • It is said that these windmills (behind me, if you can see them) inspired Cervantes for his story "Don Quieties"
