Christmas Market in Krakow

I found all the pictures I have of Krakow's Rynek Glowny were shot at nights. Except the one of the wine kiosk. But the Square surely looked nice with all those Christmas lights.

Krakow's Christmas Market at Rynek Glowny (the Main Town Square). The large two story building behind the vendors is Sukiennice (the Cloth Hall). The church at the background (with twin steeples) is St. Mary's Church (which is 500 years old)

Another angle of Rynek Glowny Christmas Market. The clock tower at the background is called Ratusz. According to my Let's Go guidebook, Rynek Glowny is the largest market square in Europe (!).

There was an ongoing performance on the stage right next to Ratusz.

Unlike in Germany, where you can purchase mulled wine from pretty much every food vendors (and keep their cute souvenir mug for 2 to 3 Euro), here in Poland, you have to buy them from some designated kiosk. The kiosks were all in the shape of cute wine barrels. Each glass cost 5 zloty (which is about $1.70). I think "Grzaniec Galicyjski" is the Polish word for "mulled wine" (gluewein in German). Try to pronouce it after you down three glasses of wine!
