Hamburg, Germany
Even though I had been to Germany four times before this trip, I had never been to its second largest city - Hamburg. As a large seaport city, Hamburg is actually more charming than you expected. It is another stop for me to see a friend I haven't seen for many years.

However, we did not stay in Hamburg very long (only two nights) and even missed a nice medieval town nearby - Lubeck. The weather was very unstable when we were there. That also hinders a lot of our plan for sightseeing.

A street corner in Hamburg. There are a lot bridges like this one all over Hamburg city center. A memorial church that still has its damage intact from World War II.
City Hall, I felt cold that rainy afternoon.
Hamburg City Hall.
A lava rock
Taking a lift to see the famous Old Elbe Tunnel. It is a quite popular tourist spot. This is the Tunnel. It is quite small. No wonder they need to build a new one.
Concert at the Fish Market
Fish Market is another popular tourist site. When we arrived there at 11 am, most of the fish vendors were gone. However, the rock concert was still raging on (a rock concert on Sunday morning in a market?!)
Outside Hamburg's brothel district. They built a wall to keep children out, so the wall is nicknamed "Hamburg Wall" (Well, not a site as famous as "Berlin Wall")
