我自1998的伊比利半島之旅後，就一直沒再去過歐洲了。2002夏天為了參加一個在巴塞隆納舉行大型的學術會議，又踏上了這塊迷人的大陸。因為飛到巴黎比較便宜，我最後變成買機票飛到巴黎，再由巴黎搭火車到巴塞隆納(Well, it's actually more complicated than that)。也因此又多玩了巴黎一個點。在巴塞隆納附近又玩了小國安道爾(Andora)及地中海的小島伊比薩(Ibiza)，算是三週內玩了不少地方。

This was my first trip to Europe since 1998. I traveled there mainly for a conference in Barcelona, Spain. Since the cheapest airfare from Atlanta to that region was on United Airline to Paris, I ended up purchasing the ticket to Paris and took train to Barcelona (Well, the itinerary was actually more complicatec than that). Another opportunity to revisit "City of Light"! Including the conference week, I only had 2 and half weeks vacation, but that gave me enough time also to Andora, the island of Ibiza (a real party island) and visited a friend near Amsterdam.
