Day 10
Don't Fly US Airway!!

Date: March 19, 2007
Place: San Juan, Puerto Rico

Two very long days later, finally I came back to DC. But it arrived at National Airport so late (after 11pm), I had to hail a taxi and that added another $15 to my bills.

This delay, mainly due to the incapability of US Airway, alone cost me almost $400 (most are the inflated hotel fee in San Juan). And worse, it probably cost me a potential job opportunity.

I was supposedly to have a phone interview at my friend's home this afternoon. However, I ended up have to do this at San Juan Airport, with children crying and Salsa bands playing in the background. Even I was put into the First Class today. I still waited for more than two hours in line to just try to check in. Though we supposedly can use the check-in kiosk. Again, it didn't work.

I just don't think an airline this bad deserve to survive in a developed country like US. Hopefully they will be out of business soon and maybe absorbed into a better managed company (like what happened to TWA, another really bad airline, a few years ago).

Again, I did not expect my cruise vacation, already challenging at time, has to come to such a bitter end. Also, though I don't have any bad feeling with people in Puerto Rico at all, I think I just won't take another cruise leaving from San Juan ever again.

At least if I'm trapped (after the cruise is over)in Fort Lauderdale or New Orleans, I can always take Greyhound home, instead paying $500 per night inflated hotel fee (in which you know your favorite airline will always find an excuse not to pay for it)...

This is what the worst airline in the Western developed countries looks like. If you find me ever fly with them again, you can just slap me silly...
